Support for CPAP
We have a Support Service to guide patients on how to chose and use CPAP machines, which are recommended for obstructive sleep apnea. Through this service, our physical therapist makes the necessary adjustments to the device and monitors adaptation closely, which improves the adoption of the treatment.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is the treatment most recommended for insomnia today, both alone and in combination with pharmacological therapy. The technique involves helping patients restructure their thoughts and change inadequate sleep habits. This focused and brief approach can be used in both individual and customized consultations, with an average of 5 sessions, as well as in group sessions of up to 20 participants.
CBT also has been used for many years at the Sleep Institute Clinic as a therapy for anxiety, depression, stress management and other conditions.
The Sleep Institute’s Clinic offers comprehensive care for all types of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, sleepwalking, night terrors, nightmares, sleep deprivation and Restless Legs Syndrome. It also offers a support service for CPAP/BPAP, non-pharmacological treatment for insomnia (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), dental treatment and speech therapy related to sleep, among others.
